I would highly recommend custom home improvement for roofing and exterior home improvements. The team is outstanding from our salesman Jeremy, to Neil, and Efrain. Neil over saw the crew out our house. He took the time to answer questions and walk me through the work being done. Efrain went out his way to install down spouts, which was something we asked for after that fact. Jeremy was very thorough walking us through the materials and process to install a new roof. I looked around at few companies to replace my roof. I am so glad I went with Custom Home Improvements! Kimberly was sweet and answered all of my questions and when she said Neil and his team will be there at 7:30am they sure were there at 7:30am SHARP ready to go! Their financing options superior to the other companies and didn’t give me any bait and switch tactics unlike other companies I received quotes from. They even show you how your roof looks and Neil explained to me how and why the wood on my roof was in good shape! They cleaned up the area very nicely. I will be using them in the future for my siding. Can’t wait for the future projects I will be calling them to do.

My experience with this company was incredible! They just finished installing my roof today. They started a little before 7 am, and left at 7:15 pm. Kimberly (scheduling & production manager) and Neil (project manager) kept in touch with me before and during the project. Neil stayed in touch with me throughout the day updating me on what was going on. He took pictures & videos throughout the day. Though there was never a leak inside my house, Neal showed me in pictures where there were several damp spots on the sheathing, so I was glad I replaced it at this time!
It’s embarrassing having to explain to our neighbors how to get our brand new front door to shut and lock just so they can look after our pets while we’re gone. Even then we’re left wondering if it’s ever actually shut and locked. I regret my decision to hire Custom Home Improvement.The 2nd star is only because my wife didn’t want to leave a 1 star review after they ‘tried’ to fix it several times. IF and when the door actually works right I’ll be happy to update this review.
Had windows/doors/roof/trim installed almost 10 years ago their work is excellent despite some issues with manufacturing quality. Mark heads the service department promptly and thoroughly addresses any service needs or repairs. Thanks!Just used this company again January 2026 for front porch railing, replacing corroded trim wrap and new gutters. Kimberly in the office is professional and fun, full of energy! Kim who replaced the trim wrap and porch railing was professional and works like a machine in 30-40 degree weather, Dylan who did the gutters out of Richmond was the most professional and thorough young contractor I ever had do gutter work, very hard working organized young man. Jeremy our salesman was relaxed, professional, personable, and no b/s! Mark handles all else the other guys don’t! Thanks again! Happy New Year!Just used this company to redo screen on replacement windows they installed over 10 years ago just normal weathering. Mark came out and personally did all 8 that had seen exposed to more direct sunlight and needed to be replaced. A year ago he also re did several second story screens. Tomorrow we are getting an estimate for changing picture windows back to double or triple windows that once again can be opened which looking back was a mistake on our part. I have yet to find a company that does the quality of work Custom Home Improvements does. Thank You!
Fantastic company in every dimension. From the time engaging until the finished roof, all efficient. All in order beginning by covering all associated landscaping with tarps, his crew made each step count, removing the old roof, disposal, inspection prior to starting the new roof installation far exceeded my expectations, treating me and my house as their own. Had an excellent experience! I was kept informed every step of the way. Kimberly and Neil were extremely professional and helpful throughout the process of the roof installation. Kimberly has made herself available to answer my questions long after the installation was complete. The install took one day to do and when finished, other than my brand new roof, you could not tell a work crew had been at my house. I HIGHLY recommend!!

I was very pleased with the whole experience of buying a roof with Custom Home Improvements. Terry the salesperson was upfront honest and very knowledgeable of all the products. Did not feel pressured at all to buy his product. Kimberly the scheduler was wonderful and easy to work with. She kept me informed of everything that was going to happen and all my concerns I had and who my install supervisor would be and passed those concerns on too him. Neil my install supervisor was fantastic. He addressed my concerns kept me up to date during the whole removal and install process, and took care of all my concern’s. We had our roof installed almost 8 years ago and recently noticed some evidence of water damage in our family room. We called Custom Home Improvement, and they were exceptionally responsive, even assisting in directing us on how to open a warranty claim. Francisco and Neil came out and completed the repair, keeping us apprised during the process, even providing photos so that we could see into areas that were not visible from the exterior. Their quality workmanship and excellent customer service are hard to find in today’s market. Highly recommend.
This past winter, Neil from Custom Home Improvements came around as our salesperson for our windows and gutters and was incredibly helpful.Not only did he explain to me the different types of shingles, reason for replacing and adding extra plywood, warranties and the draft 'thingy' on the roof that now replaces the attic fans and a whole lot more, he took the time to look over the two or three other companies proposals and show me the difference in the quality of their product and the lifetime warranties that no other company was offering.This wasn't just some 'we are the best' kind of thing, he literally had me googling and educating myself on their product vs the competitors and showing me the differences and reading other reviews of not only the products but also their reviews and the competitors as well. All that and even got us one of the best interest rates of anyone else we searched.We decided that since we were making such a large investment for our home with the roof that we should have the gutters replaced as well.And, then, what the hell! Seven of our nine windows were horrible and they guy who put our sliding glass door in previously did a horrible job and we had those all replaced as well.I wish I had photos of the before and after of everything because it would be eye opening the difference and the quality of work that they did. But, I didn't because it was something that I knew was going to make my house more beautiful and hey, the past is the past!The roof pops and looks fantastic and I don't really know how to say how beautiful the gutters are really, but they look great as well. And the windows!! Stunning. The trim around the windows. Gorgeous.I could not be happier with the assistance I received from everyone over at Custom Home Improvements.Kimberly was amazing taking care of things in the office as well Chad and Dylan for their installation of the windows.And so super important was the clean up. There was not a nail, a screw a piece of anything to be seen after their workday.I once had a guy take out cabinets and they sanded and painted and I came home and was cleaning drywall dust off of floors and countertops for hours. They even walked through it!These guys kept the in and outside of our home squeaky clean.And, last but certainly not least, Keith the foreman on the roof & gutters was a super great guy and made sure that everything was in order and on time and cleaned up. He even gave me some advice on my shed job which was greatly appreciated!ANDMark the PM for the windows was another gem. Such a cool dude and also, explained everything that was going on with the windows from the type I was receiving to the installation and the outside trim.He even came back to meet with me (because when the windows were installed, I was away on business) to show me how the windows pop open, go up and down and explained to me about the quality and install of our beautiful sliding glass door with the blinds built in as well as the warranties on those.It wasn't cheap. But also not a whole lot more than those other businesses that didn't have as good a quality of material and definitely did not have nearly the warranty we got for all of our products and work.I have gone the 'get what you pay for' route before. The quality and warranties of the product & materials and the kindness and knowledge that everyone on the Custom Home Improvement team showed me was simply amazing and to be applauded.I highly recommend them to anyone in the area!!

I recently had a new roof installed as well as new gutters for home in Chesapeake, VA and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, Greg, Dakota, Kimberly, Rick and Dalton were all awesome.Rick was the project manager for my install and he did an excellent job of keeping me updated throughout the entire process by providing videos so that I could see exactly what was happening. He made sure that the cleanup went well and went above and beyond to ensure everything was done properly.Kimberly handled my scheduling as well as sent me photos once the job was complete. She was awesome with making sure she kept me updated with scheduling and letting me know when to expect their arrival. If I had any questions she responded in a timely manner and made it very easy to talk to her.Greg started me off. He provided very detailed information about the products and services I would be receiving and he also kept me updated. Greg was awesome and put my mind at ease when I had doubts about pricing and assured me that I was getting a great product.Dakota handled the financing portion. Can’t speak highly enough of the professionals that work here. Every single person throughout the entire process over-communicated and made sure that I was being taken care of. Kimberly was extremely flexible with scheduling and worked with me to reschedule due to some things that came up on my end, truly showing care for customers. Tim worked diligently with my insurance company to make sure that the thousands of dollars I spend on premiums actually get put to good use. It has only been three days since the roof was put on, but right up front, the quality of workmanship is stellar - no hiding that.
